Known World Heraldic Symposium 2006

Kingdom of Gleann Abhann
New Orleans, Louisiana
June 16 - 18, 2006

All are invited to attend this fantastic Known World event. Five class tracks will be presented on Saturday – including tracks on omnastics, armory, administrative and practical heraldry in the SCA, beginning scribal arts, and advanced scribal arts. Instead of a traditional feast Saturday night, attendees may choose from a variety of the many eateries in the New Orleans area. Participants are encouraged to come mingle Friday night in the hotel’s hookah bar and the event merchant area. The traditional Laurel Roadshow will be offered Sunday morning. A “field trip” for non-heralds is being organized.

The deadlines for proceedings articles is April 15th. Please contact THL Colm Dubh at scat@cfl.rr.com to be included. The 2006 KWHSS Proceedings will be available for $15.

Merchants are welcome, but must pre-register. Please contact Baroness Medb ingen ui Mael Anfaid at baronessmedb@bellsouth.net for merchant space.

Site Fees:

There will be separate rates both for paid pre-registration vs. payment at the door and for adults (12 and over) and children (6 to 12).

A rate of $82 a night is offered through May 31st at the Four Points by Sheraton New Orleans. Please contact the hotel direct at (504) 885-5700 and ask for the SCA rate. There is free parking at the hotel. Details on the hotel can be found at (www.fourpointsneworleans.com).
