Note:There are many devices still outstanding from this Office that date back to before January 1973. Apparently, these device are still in the possession of the ex-Laurel King of Arms, and, due to postage costs,as these is a whole box of files along with them, we must wait until someone from the West comes down to Atenveldt for a visit. This should occur about April, at the latest. Hang on!

The following Arms, devices and badges have been rejected by the Imperial College of Arms, for the reasons given.

Genieve des Coeurs. Vert, a Tree Or enfructed with Human Hearts gules.

1) This is too close, in the Society, to Ioseph of Locksley.
2) It is also the counterchange, to all intents and purposes, of O'Boyle of Ireland.

????ig Gewisse. Gules, a Cross azure fimbriated argent; in canton a Boar's head coped azure fimbriated argent.
This is, without the Boar's head, the national and merchant flag of Norway. It is also the practice, in that country, to place a change in canton on the national flag to designate certain government functionaries. We ask for a complete re-designing.

Wilhelm of Ness. Argent, a Drakkar sable garnished gules, the sail argent charged with a wolf's head erased contourney sable between two pallets gules, pennon gules at maintop, between dexter chief an anchor and sinister base a dagger inverted sable; all between two pales gules. (sic)
1) too damn complex. Could you see it. . .all of it. . . with just one glance, while it's painted on a shield held about 100 yds. away? I doubt it.
2) It also conflicts with, in the 20th Cent., Athde, Meares, Oberreiden, Bothmar, Argylle, Lorne, &c.

Perhaps placing the wolf's head between two pales and forgetting about the rest of it would be your best bet.

Cassandra of Padua. Or, a Swan naiant gules.
This is exactly the device bourne by von Steinfurt of Westphalia, and is the countercharge of Paravincini.

Perhaps the addition of a chief and base, or putting the Swan between two bars, would solve the problem.

Rhiannon ap Llyr. Argent, a Raven displayed, the upper portion rayonny, sable; and in chief two chevronels gules.
This is in direct conflict with a coat from the Middle Kingdom that, due to administrative foulups of a couple of years ago, was never registered. WE are ironing out the problem now, but if his device passes the College then this one will have to be changed. If his is rejected, then this one will have to be, on the same grounds. Redesign.
