Unto the members of the College of Arms does Da'ud ibn Auda, Laurel King of Arms send Greetings!;

My Lords and Ladies,

Herein are corrections to various Letters of Acceptances and Returns. If you know of any others which have not yet been corrected, please let me know.

Corrections to the December 1990 LoAR
ATLANTIA

Jorunn nic Lochlainn. Device. Azure, on a pale Or between a pair of gloves argent, a sword gules.

I know what happened to the blazon in the LoAR (which gave the field as "Vairy sable and argent, a phoenix gules"), I just am not sure how it happened. In any case, the field should be azure.

MIDDLE

Rebecca the Contrary. Device. Or, on a bend gules between a martlet and a martlet contourny sable, four mullets of four points Or.

On the LoAR the first martlet somehow disappeared, which makes for a very confused blazon.

Corrections to the September 1990 LoAR
WEST

Martin the Juggler. Device. Argent, a torch bendwise sinister sable, enflamed proper, grasped by a hand bendwise sable.

The blazon in the LoAR had both the torch and the hand bendwise sinister.

William Patrik the Mariner. Name.
The LoAR accidentally inserted a "c" before the "k" in Patrik. This one was Laurel's fault entirely. (One of these days I'm simply going to have to learn how to type.)

Corrections to the July 1990 LoAR
CAID

Micheal the Limner. Device. Azure, four chevronels braced Or and in chief three quill pens argent.

The blazon in the LoAR had the pens in fess, which would place them among the chevronels. They are in chief.

Three Hills, Canton of. Per fess azure and vert, a fess indented to chief Or, in chief a laurel wreath vert, fimbriated Or.
The fess in the LoAR was blazoned as "dancetty". Dancetty is only done to both sides of an ordinary, so that it "dances" across the field.

TRIMARIS

Siegfried Conrad Georg Heydrich. Badge. Gules, a cockatrice passant to sinister, tail sufflexed in annulo, and a bordure Or.

The blazon in the LoAR gave a "cockatrice demi-vol passant", which is extremely obscure in meaning, and adds nothing to the blazon here.

Corrections to the June 1990 LoAR
CAID

Rosemary Willowwood of Ste. Anne. Badge. [Fieldless] On a wool-sack sable, a pair of shears bendwise inverted Or.

The LoAR accidentally left out the inversion of the shears.

Rouland Carre. Device. Argent, on a bend cotised azure within an orle gules, in chief a Latin cross argent.
The LoAR blazoned this as "cotised couped", which would not have the bend throughout within the orle.

Wulfere Slående Falk. Device. Azure, three falcons striking to sinister argent within a bordure invected Or.
The LoAR left out the complex line of the bordure.

EAST

Morgann ap Ffrancwr Morgannwg. Name.

The LoAR accidentally left off the second "f" from the patronymic.

Olaf of Trollheimfjord. Device. Azure, a plate between two dolphins haurient respectant, all within a bordure wavy argent.
The blazon in the LoAR had the dolphins as "aspectant".

Corrections to the April 1990 LoAR

EAST

Esmeralda la Sabia. Device. Vert, an owl striking to sinister argent within a bordure argent, semy of lozenges vert.

The LoAR accidentally gave the field tincture as gules.

Isabella Bianca. Device. Argent, in pale a unicorn's head erased and a rose, a chief invected azure.
The LoAR accidentally left off the complex line of division on the chief.

Robyn the Sharpe. Device. Or, a crossbow palewise inverted sable.
The LoAR gave the tincture of the crossbow as Or (which would make for extremely good camoflague, but very poor heraldry).

Sveyne Egilsson. Name.
The LoAR accidentally left off the final "e" in the given.

Tobin Swann. Device. Sable, a swan rousant argent between three fountains.
The LoAR accidentally left off the tincture of the swan.

Corrections to the Armorial and Ordinary (Update V)

Phineas Ginn. Device. Argent, a pall inverted bretassy azure, overall a mascle sable.

The A&O gave the field as azure, which would make the pall invisible.

Corrections to the Armorial and Ordinary

Nikolaj Zrogowacialy. Device. (08/79) Barry argent and azure, a spiral hunting horn of three spirals reversed Or.

This blazon matches the identical charge on the submitter's badge, and is more accurate to boot.

Kormakr Ulfshofuth. Device. (1/82) Sable, on a cross moline nowy quadrate betwen in saltire four daggers points to center Or, a delf gules charged with a wolf's head erased close Or.
This was accidentally blazoned in the A&O as Sable, on a cross moline nowy quadrate between in saltire four daggers points to center Or, between two thistle heads argent.
