Unto the College of Arms of the Known World, greetings from Baron Bruce Draconarius of Mistholme, Laurel King of Arms!
Herein are Corrections to recent Letters of Acceptances and Returns, wherein I correct the mistakes made by me and my predecessors.
From the LoAR of August 1992:
Kingdom of ATENVELDT.
Sigeweard Wildeorlic. Name and device. Per chevron argent and sable, three ostrich plumes inverted within a bordure counterchanged.
The byname was spelled Wildeorile on the LOI, and Wildeorilc on the forms. I inadvertently registered the name in the latter form. The correct form, as supported by the submitter's documentation, should be Wildeorlic. My apologies for the confusion.
Kingdom of MERIDIES.
Kenrick Bosch. Name.
This was submitted as a new name, and registered by me as a new name. As it turns out, this name had already be registered to the submitter, on the LoAR of March 91.
From the LoAR of June 1992:
Kingdom of CAID.
Steffan the Scrivener. Badge. (fieldless) A domestic cat sejant affronty sable holding in its mouth a quill pen Or.
When registered, the tincture of the cat was omitted from the blazon, and the quill pen blazoned as a feather. Given the submitter's byname, we decided to restore the submitted blazon.
From the Armorial and Ordinary:
Steffan the Scrivener. Device reblazon. Sable, on a roundel erminois, a domestic cat sejant affronty sable holding in its mouth a quill pen argent.
When registered April 90, the maintained charge was blazoned simply as a "quill", which is an entirely different charge.
I hope these corrections prove useful. Until later, know me ever to be,
Yours in armory,
Bruce Draconarius of Mistholme,
Laurel King of Arms.
