Unto the members of the College of Arms does Shayk Da'ud ibn Auda, Laurel King of Arms, send heartfelt Greetings!
Herein are corrections to various Letters of Acceptances and Returns and the Armorial and Ordinary.
February 1995 LoAR
ANSTEORRA
Constance Caterina of Padua. Device.
The name, registered as above in the December 1993 LoAR, was typoed as Contance Caterina of Padua.
MERIDIES
Simon MacLeod. Device change. Vert, two chevronels, in base two Latin crosses formy in fess Or.
Instead of being released (as stated in the LoAR), his then-registered device, Purpure, two chevronels, in base two Latin crosses formy in fess Or, is retained as a badge.
Turlough O'Keeffe. Name and device. Per bend sinister gules and sable, a Thor's hammer and a dumbec Or.
In the LoAR, "hammer" was spelled with only one "m". [When is a hammer not a hammer? When it's a "hamer"? ]
November 1994 LoAR
Antonello Giovacchini lo Voiello. Device.
The November 1994 registration of his device accidentally dropped the first "c" in the name. It should be as it was originally registered: Giovacchini.
February 1994 LoAR
ANSTEORRA
Merfyn Gareth ap Mouric. Name.
Owing partly to a slightly fuzzy photocopy, the patronym was misspelled as Mourie in the LoAR.
ATLANTIA
Uilliam MacCloskey. Device. Per pale indented purpure and Or, a fountain between two bears combattant counterchanged.
The LoAR accidentally dropped the plurality of the bears, leaving us with a "fountain between two bear combattant", which would create a very odd picture indeed.
CAID
Eleonora van den Bogaerde. Device.
The name, registered as above in the April 1992 LoAR, was typoed as Eleonara von den Bogaerde.
CALONTIR
Nethaniel Strathearn. Device.
The name, registered as above in the August 1991 LoAR, was typoed as Nethanial Strathearn.
EAST
Tedric Sprucewood. Device. Or, three pine trees couped and on a chief azure three crosses bottony Or.
Somehow the LoAR converted Tedric's pine trees into pine cones.
TRIMARIS
Cú Lúaráin Cáelún. Device.
The name, registered as above in the October 1990 LoAR, was typoed as Cú Lúardáin Cáelán.
January 1994 LoAR
EAST
Ian of Iron Bog. Device. Sable, on a plate a wolf's head couped sable, on a chief rayonny Or three lozenges gules.
The blazon in the LoAR had "on a plate charged with a wolf's head" which was somewhat redundant and repetitious.
MIDDLE
Adelicia Katharine MacLeod. Device.
Her name was originally registered as above. The Adelicia Katherine McLeod was in error.
Ceridwen Maelor verch Gruffydd. Device.
The registration of the device accidentally dropped the second "d" in Gruffydd.
WEST
Ascelin d'Ypres. Name.
The registration of the name somehow picked up an extra finial "e" in the given name (Asceline) which should not have been there.
Armorial and Ordinary
Alexandra Kyncaide of Black Horse Keep. Device. Argent, a horse rampant to sinister sable within a bordure vert ermined argent.
The tincture of the horse was inadvertently omitted, making it vert ermined argent by default.
Chrystofer Kensor. Device. Azure, a wolf rampant to sinister argent sustaining a halberd argent hafted Or, a base argent.
The halberd is almost longer than the wolf, and is of a sufficient "heft" that were it to be separated from the wolf, the wolf and halberd would be considered to be two primary charges in fess. As such, it is of sufficient visual weight to be reblazoned as sustained rather than maintained.
