There will be a Laurel roadshow meeting at Pennsic on Thursday, August 16. Original commentary on these LoIs must be in the College's hands no later than June 30, 1996. LAUREL TRAVELS

Following in the footsteps of my predecessor I intend to travel to as many heraldic collegia and classes as people want me to. I will be at Pennsic from August 9 through 18, 1996 (approximately). Furthermore, during a good part of the month of October I will be in Lochac. While I am in Lochac submissions processing will be taking place and, of course, Mistress Sionyn will be available to deal with all administrative matters. I will be checking my voice-mail from Pennsic and my e-mail from Lochac.

PRECEDENT OVERTURNED

In the registration of Madeleine Moinet dit Boismenu, we have overturned the long standing prohibition of the form X called Y, for Latin, German and French, because it is a legitimate documentary form.

CALL FOR OPINIONS

Three issues came up this month which we feel the College needs to discuss.

The first came from the March Caid LoI with the device submission from Antek Ignatovich of Hausmarken. We are calling for opinions on whether the College should register Huasmarken, and if we do, how to blazon Hausmarken. For further information on what they are, we refer the College to the excellent article on Hausmarken in the 1990 Ansteorran Heraldic Symposium.

The second came up with the submission of Ulrich von Rudivale (registered as Ulrich of Rudivale). The issue was raised as how we should treat the names of SCA groups. Several suggestions were proposed, including: treating branch names as native to all languages, treating them as native to the language they actually are, treating them as English, as per the Lingua Anglica rule, treating them as native to the submitter's native language, as a reasonable extension of the Lingua Anglica due to the international nature of the SCA.

Finally, we have received an e-mail from Estonia regarding our alternative titles in Estonian. Below you will find the proposed changes to the titles.
