Harpy Herald. Transfer of Heraldic Title.
This is official acceptance of the transfer of the title from the
West.
Pelican Sovereign of Arms. Heraldic Title.
Heraldic titles came from several sources. Among them name of orders,
as in the Garter King of Arms, from the Order of the Garter, and
charges used in heraldry, as in the Lyon King of Arms. Pelican follows
both exemplars, as it is taken the SCA order of the Pelican and it is also
a heraldic charge.
Siren Herald. Heraldic Title.
This follows the exemplar of being an heraldic charge. Parker, p. 406,
gives "sir‚ne" as the French form of mermaid, and states "The Siren seems
to be only another name for the mermaid."
