For the February 2005 meetings, printed May 16, 2005

To all the College of Arms and all others who may read this missive, from Elisabeth Laurel Queen of Arms, Gwenllian Wreath, and Margaret Pelican, greetings.

This letter contains the issues raised in the February 2005 LoAR for CoA discussion. The text in this letter is copied verbatim from that LoAR; it is provided here for convenience. As with a May LoI, these matters are currently scheduled for the Laurel meetings in September 2005. Original commentary must be in the College's hands no later than the end of July 2005. Responses and rebuttals to commentary must be in the College's hands no later than end of August 2005.

  1. Įsa rauša. Device. Azure, a chevron Or between three fleurs-de-lys, on a chief argent a keythong statant sable.

Blazoned on the Letter of Intent as Sable, the field of this armory is actually Azure. We have pended this device to allow the College to research potential conflicts using the correct tinctures.

  2. Dafydd Balch de Cantref Blaidd. Device. Per pale Or and purpure, two wolf's heads erased addorsed and conjoined and in base two axes addorsed all counterchanged sable and argent, a bordure embattled sable.

The bordure was blazoned on the Letter of Intent as argent but is actually sable. We have therefore pended this device to allow the College to research potential conflicts using the correct tincture.

  3. Jacquette Beamonte. Device. Per pale vert and sable, a chevron dovetailed between two wolf's heads erased and a horse rampant argent.

Blazoned on the Letter of Intent as Per pale vert and purpure, the field was clearly Per pale vert and sable on the color emblazon. We have pended this device to allow the College to research potential conflicts using the correct tinctures.

  4. Ymanya Murray. Badge. Sable, on an open scroll argent, a stag's attire palewise gules.

Blazoned on the Letter of Intent as (Fieldless), the field is actually Sable. We have pended this badge to allow the College to research potential conflicts using the correct tinctures.

Pray know that I remain,

In service,

Elisabeth de Rossignol
Laurel Principal Queen of Arms
