For the July 2006 meetings, printed October 15, 2006

To all the College of Arms and all others who may read this missive, from Elisabeth Laurel, Jeanne Marie Wreath, and Margaret Pelican, greetings.

This letter contains the issues raised in the July 2006 LoAR for CoA discussion. The text in this letter is copied verbatim from that LoAR; it is provided here for convenience. As with an October 2006 LoI, these matters are currently scheduled for the Pelican and Wreath meetings in February 2007. Original commentary must be in the College's hands no later than December 31, 2006. Responses and rebuttals to commentary must be in the College's hands no later than January 31, 2007.

  1. Elizabeth Joscelyne. Badge. Or, a letter "B" azure within a bordure gules.

Listed on the LoI as Or, a Gothic letter "B" within a bordure gules, the B is azure not gules. The "B" is not a Gothic "B", so we have dropped that term from the blazon. This is pended to allow conflict checking under the correct tinctures.

This was item 5 on the Calontir letter of March 31, 2006.

  2. Mael Coluim mac Gilla Epscoip. Device. Per fess argent and gules, two wolf's heads erased sable and a castle argent.

This device is pended as the LoI omitted the mini-emblazon. Although a letter of correction was dated April 20th, it does not appear that any of the commenters received it prior to commenting on this item. We have pended it to allow such commentary.

This was item 1 on the Artemisia letter of February 22, 2006.

  3. Morgan ap Hugh. Device. Per chevron argent and gules, two dragonflies purpure and a stag trippant contourny Or.

This device is pended as the LoI omitted the blazon.

This was item 6 on the An Tir letter of March 31, 2006.

Pray know that I remain,

In service,

Elisabeth de Rossignol
Laurel Principal Queen of Arms
