Not all letters of intent may be considered when they are originally scheduled on this cover letter. The date of mailing of the LoI, date of receipt of the Laurel packet, or other factors may delay consideration of certain letters of intent. Additionally, some letters of intent received may not have been scheduled because the administrative requirements (receipt of the forms packet, receipt of the necessary fees, et cetera) have not yet been met.

REMINDER: Until all administrative requirements are met, the letter may not be scheduled.

From Laurel: April Decisions

Historically, during a team transition, separate LoARs were issued by each team. Since the current transition is being done in two separate steps, and over a three month period, we have decided to issue a single combined letter. Because of this, we will list the responsibility for decisions here.

The April name decisions were made by Margaret Pelican Emeritus. The April armory decisions were made by Jeanne Marie Wreath Emeritus.

From Laurel: New Administrative Handbook

While half of the revised Administrative Handbook items were scheduled to be decided in April, publication of those sections will be delayed until May, to allow the entirety of the new Administrative Handbook to be released at once.

From Laurel: Congratulations Are In Order

To Mistress Alisoun MacCoul of Elphane, who was promoted to the rank of Herald Extraordinary at Atlantian Court at Pennsic.

To Master Tanczos Istvan, who was elevated to the Order of the Pelican at East Kingdom Court at Pennsic.

To Lady Jeanne Marie Lacroix, who has been asked by their Majesties Caid to sit vigil at Great Western War to contemplate her elevation to the Order of the Pelican.

A very hearty "Vivant!" to all of these people.

From Pelican Emeritus: So long and thanks for all the fish!

Hi Everyone,

While Elisabeth, Laurel Emeritus, issued a thank you last month, I beg your kind indulgence to do the same in this, my last full decision month.

As I'm sure anyone who has done heraldry knows, it's a team effort from start to finish! I want to thank my local Pelican team, in particular Cadell Blaidd Du, commenter, writer, supplier of books and sense. Also thanks to Myfanwy ferch Rhiannon, Ailis Linne, Elsbeth Anne Roth, Roana d'Evereaux, Shawn, Kat, and Kinnion, and to anyone whose name I may not have mentioned here. Thank you!

Administration and proofing is also a huge responsibility - thanks to Daniel, Istvan, and Shauna. In addition, proofers -- you are all wonderful folks (I'm not going to relist you, but you are all great)!

It's been a swell four years! So long and thanks for all the fish!
