****** Errata ****** ***** August 1978 ***** **** West **** Allisandra Olympia Martiessa de Constantine. Name correction from Allissaundra Olympia Martiessa de Constantine. When her name and device were registered, the LoAR misspelled her name as _Allis*sau*ndra_. All of the submission forms, as well as later registrations, use the spelling _Allis*a*ndra_. ***** August 1979 ***** **** Atenveldt **** Gabriel Ren{e'} Antoine du Renard. Name and device. Azure, a fox passant argent grasping in its dexter forepaw a hunting horn, bell to sinister, and a chief embattled or. The forms all show the accent on Ren{e'}, but the LoAR dropped the accent. That is unremarkable for the Heraldicon letter. This restores the accent which was present in the 1981 registration of a second piece of armory. Hillary Stormrider. Device change. Or, in saltire issuant from base a dexter cubit arm debruising a sinister cubit arm sable. The LoAR failed to note that this was a device change. Her prior device, _Or, two cubit arms crossed in saltire at the wrists, the dexter vested of a plate gauntlet sable, crossed by the sinister vested of a glove gules_, is retained as a badge. At the time the it was standard to release old armory; however, her file contains a September 1980 letter from Wilhelm _Laurel_ indicating that _Or, two cubit arms crossed in saltire at the wrists, the dexter vested of a plate gauntlet sable, crossed by the sinister vested of a glove gules_ was registered as a badge. Rumil Kehaiovi. Name correction from Rumil Kehalovi. Submitted and documented as _Keha*i*ovi_, the LoAR inadvertently misspelled his byname. ***** November 1979 ***** **** West **** Micheil, Younger of An Alltan. Name correction from Michael, Younger of An Alltan. When his name and device were registered in November 1979, the LoAR inadvertently spelled his name as _Mich*ae*l_. All of the submission forms and many pieces of correspondence in his file, as well as all further registrations, used the spelling _Mich*ei*l_, so we have restored that spelling. ***** January 1980 ***** **** East **** Freyjaethe na Barra. Name correction from Freyjarthe na Barra. When registering her device after an appeal, the LoAR misspelled her name as _Freyja*r*the_ instead of _Freyja*e*the_ as in her original submission and on all her submission forms. ***** March 1980 ***** **** Middle **** Codran Bloodaxe. Name change from Kodran Bloodaxe. This appeared on the LoAR as a new name, but it is the same person as Kodran Bloodaxe (registered February 1984 via the East). While we believe it is likely from the paperwork trail we have that the submitter was unaware that Kodran Bloodaxe was registered, at this late date we are loathe to release the prior name without contact from the submitter. Thus his prior name "Kodran Bloodaxe" is retained as an alternate name. ***** May 1980 ***** **** Atenveldt **** K'Alan Taurwen. Name correction from K'Alan Tauven. When his name and device were registered, the LoAR misspelled his name as _Tau*v*en_. ***** October 1980 ***** **** Atenveldt **** Theodric ap Breken Beaken. Name change from Theodoric ap Brecon Beacons and badge for Juan Carlos del Oso. When his badge and alternate name were registered, the LoAR also stated "change of spelling". We are clarifying that he was changing the spelling of his primary name, and releasing the old version. ***** February 1981 ***** **** West **** Robert McFlandry of Dundee. Name change from Raibeart the Berserker. This appeared on the LoAR as a new name, but it is the same person as Raibeart the Berserker. This appears to have been meant as a name change. At this late date we are loathe to release the prior name without contact from the submitter, thus his prior name "Raibeart the Berserker" is retained as an alternate name. ***** October 1981 ***** **** Atenveldt **** Gabriel Ren{e'} Antoine du Renard. Device change. Azure, a fox passant argent grasping in its sinister forepaw a hunting horn, bell to sinister, and a chief embattled Or. Gabriel already had a device registered with the horn maintained in the other paw, registered in August 1979. The earlier piece of armory has been in the database as a badge. It is unclear whether this submission was meant to be a second piece of armory, or a mistaken resubmission, but we can treat this as a device change with the previous device retained as a badge. Both pieces of armory were subsequently reblazoned in 2007 to clarify the nature of the hunting horns. ***** January 1982 ***** **** West **** Wilhelm von Westfalen. Name change from Wilhelm aus Westfalen and device reblazon. Azure, a mullet of seven points Or within six swords conjoined in annulo proper, all within a bordure argent mullety of seven points azure. The LoAR failed to note at the time that his name was being changed as a correction, and his device was reblazoned from mullets of six points to mullets of seven points to match the submission form. ***** February 1982 ***** **** An Tir **** Robert MacFlandry of Dundee. Name correction from Robert McFlandry of Dundee. It appears that the new name/name change in February 1981 misspelled MacFlandry as McFlandry, judging from the forms. It appears that this submission was an attempt to correct the erroneous spelling from 1981. ***** December 1983 ***** **** East **** Taliesin of Nordovest upon the Long Isle. Name change from Taliesin Didpaeus Aurelius of Nordevest. Appearing on the December 1983 LoAR as a name change from Taliesin of Nordovest, the name appeared on the April 1975 LoAR (with the registration of his badge) as Taliesin Didpaeus Aurelius of Nordovest. His prior name "Taliesin Didpaeus Aurelius of Nordovest" is released. ***** July 1984 ***** **** Calontir **** Richard Randolf. Name change from Randwulf Raedwulfing. When his name was registered, the LoAR neglected to note that he was actually changing his name. His previous name, "Randwulf Raedwulfing", is retained as an alternate name. ***** September 1986 ***** **** West **** Harold von Schwarzwald. Name. This is a belated return. Appearing on the September 1986 LoAR as a name change from "Harold von Schwartzwald" there are two issues. First, the name Harold von Schwartzwald was never registered. It appeared on the West's March 1986 LoI; however, a correction was included in the June 1986 LoI changing the submitted name to Harold von Schwarzwald. The name Harold von Schwartzwald was not addressed on the June 1986 LoAR with the rest of the submissions from the March 1986 LoI. Second, the name was returned on the August 1986 LoAR for incorrect grammar. This is what is shown in the file at Laurel, and what the submitter was told happened. It should not have appeared on the September 1986 LoAR at all. A resubmission appeared on West's October 1986, "Harold von dem Schwarzwald". The LoI noted that the prior submission had been returned and this was the form recommended by Laurel. ***** October 1988 ***** **** Outlands **** Elinor du Pont. Name change from Elenore du Pont. This appeared on the LoAR as a new name, but it is the same person as Elenore du Pont. This appears to have been meant as a name change. At this late date we are loathe to release the prior name without contact from the submitter, thus her prior name "Elenore du Pont" is retained as an alternate name. ***** October 1991 ***** **** Trimaris **** Ragnar Longeye. Name change from holding name Ragnar of Southkeype. His name had previously been returned, and he was assigned a holding name for the registration of his device. When his name was registered, the LoAR neglected to note the change of his holding name. ***** December 1991 ***** **** Middle **** John Skinner of Rivenstar. Name change from holding name John of Rivenstar. When his name was registered, the LoAR neglected to note that it was a change of holding name. ***** March 1994 ***** **** Middle **** Eoghan Mac Giolla Ph{a'}draig. Name change from Eoghan of Wealdsmere and device change. Per pale argent and sable, a saltire counterchanged and on a chief nebuly gules three Celtic crosses Or. When his new name and device were registered in March 1994, the LoAR neglected to note that he was changing his name, and desired that his previous name and device, "Argent, in pale a stag courant gules and a mullet of seven points within a bordure sable", be released. ***** April 2001 ***** **** AEthelmearc **** Kirstyn von Tobel. Device. Argent, a unicorn passant contourny purpure armed and crined sable. Appearing on the LoAR as a name and device acceptance, the name had been registered April 2000. This should have been a device acceptance only. ***** December 2011 ***** **** Meridies **** Heahburh {ae}t Niwecastel. Name change from Felicia Heather of Newcastle. When her name was registered in December 2011, the LoAR neglected to note that it was actually a name change. Her previous name, "Felicia Heather of Newcastle", is released. ====================================================================== Created at 2015-10-13T20:45:54
