* From Pelican: Greetings

To the heralds of the Known World, greetings and every good thing. I am Mistress Alys Mackyntoich, OP, OL, and I started my term as Pelican Queen of Arms (or, in period Scots, Pellicane Quene of Armys) on November 1st. My thanks to Andrewe Laurel, Lillia Pelican Emerita and Emma Temperaunce for all of their help and guidance during the transition. I also extend grateful thanks to Juliana Siren and Istvan Non Scripta for encouraging me down the path that led here.

For those who don't know me, I reside in the East Kingdom, in the Barony of Settmour Swamp (northern New Jersey), where I work as a litigation attorney. I have been active in book heraldry for a little over ten years (longer for vocal heraldry). I served as the East Kingdom's submission herald and heraldic education deputy, as well as being on Pelican staff under Juliana and Lillia. I generally attend KWHSS and Pennsic every year, but I am more than happy to travel to other places to teach and promote heraldry. Generally, the best way to reach me is by e-mail.

I look forward to working for the College, to meeting more people, and to supporting the practices of heraldry and onomastics in the Society.
